You May remember my last blog, it was a Blog Hop and we all CASEd Wendy Cranford...Well a lovely lady named Michelle Mills CASEd a card (click her name to see her card)   ....I loved it so much I commented that I was going to CASE her Case LOL

So here are my cards...my version of Missy's CASE

'Christmas Baubles'

#Delicateornamentsthinlits #Embellishesornaments #KOCreationscards #Christmasbaubles #Seasonalbells

How I made Christmas Baubles :

  • First I cut my card base s to 15 cm x 10.5 cm...
  • I then cut my DSP to 14.5 cm x 10 cm.
  • I cut the vellum to 14 cm x 9.5 cm
  • For the inside I used some scrap pieces left over front he DSP I used on the front front and Whisper White card stock with a stamped image of an Embellished Ornament, stamped off the page.
#Delicateornamentsthinlits #Embellishesornaments #KOCreationscards #Christmasbaubles #Seasonalbells

  • I used the Red Glimmer Paper for some and also the Gold Foil sheets for the small flowers and the backing for sections on the longer ornament
#Delicateornamentsthinlits #Embellishesornaments #KOCreationscards #Christmasbaubles #Seasonalbells

  • I used Gold foil sheets for the sections under the long ornament and all of the ornament caps
  • To make the strips I held the die cut image over the top and used my little 'pricky tool' lol no idea what it's actually called to mark then cut them out.

#Delicateornamentsthinlits #Embellishesornaments #KOCreationscards #Christmasbaubles #Seasonalbells
  • I heat embossed by dusting with the Embossing Buddy then stamping with Versa mark the dusting with the 'Gold' Stampin' Emboss Powder

#Delicateornamentsthinlits #Embellishesornaments #KOCreationscards #Christmasbaubles #Seasonalbells

  • I used the 'Silver' & 'Red'  Glimmer Paper for this card and added a' Metal Rimmed Pearl' to the center of each Gold Foil flower

#Delicateornamentsthinlits #Embellishesornaments #KOCreationscards #Christmasbaubles #Seasonalbells
  • Before gluing the vellum to the front of each card I stamped with black Stazon the sentiment from the 'Seasonal Bells' stamp set which will be available for Sale on the 1st of September
  • I also added the 'Pearl Basic Jewels' to most of the ornaments
  • I then glued with my 'Fine-Tip Glue Pen' 5 sequins to the front of each card.

I hope you enjoyed these creations. If you would like to purchase any of the items used to make these cards please check the carousal below and just click on the required item!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop- CASEing Wendy Cranford

Hi !

Today's card has been inspired by our fabulous creator & guest Wendy Cranford
I chose this gorgeous card of Wendy's to CASE

How to Stamp A Floral Background
#Wendycranford

I just love how vibrant and fun this card is. Wendy shows her love of having the main focal in a corner so well with this design. I wanted to make something similar, but also to make it mine.

I chose my colours from the #PPA315 colour challenge by Michelle Gleeson.

I also thought I would enter this card into the Stamp, ink, paper challenge #SIP062 as it fits the sketch above !

Here is my card

'JUST A NOTE'

#Flourishingphrases #KOCreationscards #Resistinking #Enamelshapes #Blending

I am also a lover of having the focal stamped design in a corner, then stamping the image off the page a little. I chose to do my image using white embossing powder on Whisper White card stock and use the resist inking technique.
For the ink blending over the embossed image I used Old Olive at the bottom, followed by So Saffron and finished at the top with Dapper Denim.
I coloured the flowers with So Saffron on top of the blending process just to make them stand out a little more. I also did the same with the leaves using Old Olive.
For the dots I used the smallest circles from the enamel shapes in Dapper Denim.

I wanted a sentiment tag, but I didn't want to cover any of the card and it's beautiful colour. So to keep the colour unbroken, I decided I would use a small rectangle of acetate 'Window Sheet' stamped with 'Whisper White' craft ink. This made the writing stand against out from the background, plus coordinated with the card perfectly. I cut to length a small strip of 'Dapper Denim' Washi Tape from the Moroccan Designer Washi Tape set. I topped that with a bow of Thick 'Whisper White' Bakers Twine.

I also wanted the pretty colours to follow through to the inside of my card. So I did almost the same as the front but kept the ink blending to the bottom right of the paper, leaving a large area clean for a personal message.

#GDP050 | Sketch Challenge

Sneak Peek for the 'Holiday Catalogue'

 HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Did I hear a very loud Groooaan!?! hahahaha....

Yes it will soon be that time of year again....Normally I am one of the most un-organised people for THAT time of year ... I  end up rushing around, trying to fit everything in at the last minute..Not this year  (I hope)

So to start my early preparations for this year, I decided I would make some Christmas cards ready to send to family & friends.
I found my inspiration for this set of Christmas themed cards from the Global Design Project

Using the cute design sketch below

I only made 3 cards for the set! But, because like any good design sketch, it is adaptive to every conceivable stamp set & ephemera, the possibilities for more are boundless.

I tried to remain true to the sketch. I kept the greeting to the top left (mostly) and added some detail underneath with an element of focus off to the right.

The Sneak Peek Element

I used a little something on each card from the new 'Holiday Catalogue'

which all customers can order from, on the 1 September 2016

Being a SU demonstrator I was able to pre-order items to help give you all a bit of a sneak peek & some inspiration as to what you can create.

& I can only show you the front of the catalogue atm though, sorry.

But isn't the cover full of gorgeous ideas!

OK

Here is my first card

#Christmaspines #Flurryofwishes #Fancyfrostsequins #KOCreationscards #Embossing #Seasonalbells #FancyfrostDSP

For my second card I used a stamp set from the catalogue.

I love how this design sketch can be left almost empty and still be full of detail. Those Fancy Frost sequins really helped this card pop that little bit extra.

Don't you just love those pine branches and cones, I know I do :-)

And for my 3rd card

#Christmaspines #Flurryofwishes #Fancyfrostsequins #KOCreationscards #Embossing #Seasonalbells #FancyfrostDSP

I think this one is my fave, but that's probably because it was the last one I made lol.
I do like how the white embossed specialty DSP helps add texture and also becomes a focal interest too.

And a family photo all sitting together hehe :-)

I hope you enjoy these cards as much as I enjoyed creating them x

These cards have all been layered using Stampin' Dimensionals between each layer. The Focals were added using a mixture of glue and dimensionals. I used the Copper embossing powder over Cherry Cobbler for the bells and the Silver embossing powder for the snow flakes over Whisper White & Cherry Cobbler. Both Cherry Cobbler & Crumb Cake card stock has been used along with Whisper White Specialty DSP.

Thank you for stopping in and visiting.
Please, call back soon.

Touches Of Texture PPA314 - A Sketch by Amy Lazzell

PPA314 – A Sketch by Amy Lazzell

Hello!

welcome back to my blog

I have had a little break from creating for a while and am now ready to jump right back into the thick of things.
I was umming and ahhing a little as to what to create when I found this gorgeous sketch over at Pals Paper arts

I kept the basics of the above design for my card, just flipped it on it's side.
I had been using the gorgeous Cherry Cobbler colour earlier, so I thought I would keep with that colour & use it as a base for this design.

Well enough chit chat

Here is my card.

'Touches Of Texture'

#Butterflybasics #Touchesoftexture #Gorgeousgrunge #KOCreationscards

How I made 'Touches Of Texture'

  • I cut my base card to 10.5 cm x 15 cm
  • Added a layer of Vellum stamped with the 'Gorgeous Grunge' Splatter stamp in Versa Mark and Silver embossing powder. This was adhered to the card base using my Snail Adhesive.
  • I then chose Very Vanilla to use as the top layer to display my stamping and layout.
  • For the first line going horizontally across the design I used the netting stamp from the 'Touches of Texture' set. This was inked using the colour Basic Grey. I centered it then stamped a little to the left leaving enough room for the second stamp.
  • I used the fern from 'Butterfly Basics' to lay the vertical line stamping in Pear Pizzazz.
  • I thought that the horizontal lines needed some more texture so I added a piece or Burlap ribbon. To get the effect I have used above I pulled a thread from one end holding the other end quite firmly to gather, then glued all in place using a hot glue gun.
  • I stamped the Bee from Touches of Texture and used my Stampin Write Markers to color.
  • I used the flower from Butterfly Basics for this card. To get this effect for my flower, I started by stamping in Versa Mark. Then without wiping the stamp, stamp again into Black Stazon. Dust the image quickly, using the Clear Embossing Powder. This makes the Black lines look dusty. After tapping off the excess, gently with a light tap on the back of the card with your finger nail, heat with your heat tool until all is clear again. This makes delicate items like the flower stems easier to fussy cut. It can also stop colour from spreading where you don't want it.
  • I wanted to bring the base colour to the fore again, so I used  my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker and Aqua Painter to colour the flowers. Layering the colour for depth. I added Clear 'Wink of Stella' to each flower petal for that little bit of zing and pizzazz.
  • I finished this card by stamping on a small piece of Vellum the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from 'Butterfly Basics' in Versa Mark then Cherry Cobbler. Using the same method as above.
  • Using Stampin Dimensionals I placed the front onto the Vellum. To finish this pretty design I used mid size 3 Rhinestones in the top right corner of the Very Vanilla front..
